Kaleigh Augustine

Owner/Instructor

Kaleigh Augustine began dancing at the age of 4 and never entertained another sport or activity again. As a child, she traveled across the country to attend regional and national conventions and competitions, earning numerous awards and accolades along the way. Throughout her training, Kaleigh assisted in as many classes as she could and taught her first dance class at the age of 15.

In high school, Kaleigh finally found her home with The Dance Academy of Loudoun. After two years of training at DAL, she attended George Mason University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a Minor in Dance Appreciation. While in college, she began working part-time at DAL, gradually teaching more and taking on additional responsibilities each year. After graduation, she joined the team full-time and has loved every minute since.

Over the past 18+ years, Kaleigh has been involved in nearly every aspect of the studio, working closely alongside founder Elizabeth Boehnlein and developing a deep understanding of the studio’s values, operations, and community. In 2025, she proudly became owner of The Dance Academy of Loudoun and remains committed to continuing its legacy and guiding it into a bright future.

In addition to her role at the studio, Kaleigh also serves as a commissioner on the Leesburg Performing Arts Commission, where she advocates for greater access to the arts throughout the community.

​

In the classroom, Kaleigh remains passionate about guiding our youngest dancers as they begin their journey in dance. She created DAL’s early childhood curriculum to help our littlest dancers start off on the right foot and fall in love with dance from day one. In addition to movement and foundational technique, her classes focus on building motor skills, independence, patience, listening, and most importantly confidence.

Being the owner of DAL is one of Kaleigh’s greatest joys, and she can’t wait to welcome you into the studio she loves so much.
