Aleksandra Ordoñez
A native of Virginia, Aleksandra began her ballet training with Hortensia Fonseca at the Maryland Youth Ballet. She completed her training under the direction of Susan Jaffe and Risa Kaplowitz at Princeton Dance and Theater Studio in New Jersey and received additional training at Boston Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Corella Ballet in Spain. She has appeared with several companies as a guest artist performing principal roles.
An accomplished choreographer, Aleksandra has staged and choreographed dances from Giselle, The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Paquita and Sleeping Beauty and has created several original works for schools and companies in the U.S.
Aleksandra is an American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She has been teaching ballet in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area for many years and is currently part of the faculty of the Washington School of Ballet.
