Danielle Coleman
Danielle found her passion for dance at what is now Sharpsburg Dance Academy after taking a combo tap/ballet class. At the age of nine, she started studying tap and ballet at Star Dance Studio under the tutelage of Leigh Tincher-McGuffey. She performed tap competitively for the
next four years receiving awards on the regional and national levels. At thirteen, Danielle continued her training at Georgia Academy of Dance as a company member under the direction of Sherri Davis. She began to study jazz, modern, and hip hop in addition to ballet and tap. Danielle was involved in many productions including Don Quixote, Coppelia, West Side Story, Giselle, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, as well as a yearly performance of the Nutcracker. During this time, she spent her summers dancing at Atlanta Ballet and Richmond Ballet intensive programs. In 2014, she was an instructor for Southern Arc Dance in Newnan and a company member of Southern Arc Dance Theatre and Gotta Dance Atlanta before moving to San Francisco to train with Alonzo Kings Lines Ballet. Once she returned home, she began to
teach again at the two studios she grew up in and performed with a group for Santa’s Fantastical as well as training with the modern-ballet company, Profectus. New to the Virginia area, Danielle hopes to continue to share her knowledge and love of ballet!
