Our Story
Our Young Dancer Program is the perfect way to begin your child's dance education. Students will learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment where they are capable of turning their dancing dreams into reality. Our young dancer classes were created with our youngest dancers in mind and are designed for boys and girls alike. With 25 years of experience, The Dance Academy of Loudoun is the place to start your dancer off on the right foot.
For our older dancers we offer a range of classes from beginner to pre-professional Prep program. Dancers can take recital classes or choose from one of our many team or company options. We offer Ballet Companies, a Performance Team, a Loudounettes Dance Team and our award winning Competition Team. We have won multiple YAGP regionals which has allowed our soloists and ensembles to qualify for the prestigious New York Finals. We have also had many NYCDA regional and national top scoring groups and outstanding dancers.
No matter what path your dancers chooses, we have a place for you here at DAL.
Performances
All of our students perform in an end of the year recital in late May or early June. With all the fabulous costumes, this is a show you do not want to miss!
For dancers that want to perform more than once a year, our Nutcracker in December is open to all DAL students.
And of course, our teams offer even greater opportunities to perform throughout the year. Our ballet companies perform in both our Nutcracker and Spring Ballet annually, our Performance Team and Loudounettes Dance Team perform locally for the community throughout the entire year, and our Competition Team attends competitions and conventions throughout the season.

Here at DAL we value:
* Passion for the love of dance and learning. Bringing heart to all we do.
* Challenge to grow and bring out the best in ourselves and others.
* Integrity to develop a respectful relationship with our teachers and dance families.
* Tolerance as we treat everyone with dignity and respect. Everyone brings value to our team.
Community Involvement
We feel strongly in serving our greater community and stress a warm giving community here at DAL. Our dancers learn more than just dance, but to give a helping hand.
Ways we have given back:
-
Food drives for area shelters- we collected over 8 large boxes of food this year November.
-
Giving Tree for local families in need in December. We sponsored 7 families and hope to bring a little joy during the holidays.
-
Dancers made sweet Valentines for retirement communities.
-
Performances at local events and retirement communities.
-
Old Shoe Drive in February and March for a local PTA and charity.
-
Help raise money for out Bryn Wertz and Sophie Gregoire scholarship fund. We hope to help dancers afford to dance or be able to pursue dance more seriously with tuition and performance scholarships.
